Around the World in 157 Days!

Hello!

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we have finally settled on a [rough] itinerary for our around the world adventure. The bad news is that we don't have a catchier name for it than "our around the world adventure" yet. We are working on that part though (circumnavipalooza?).

We went to passport health today and a mean lady jabbed us full of a strange host of tropical diseases. I am hopeful that we will both be over the yellow fever, typhus, tetanus and diptheria by tomorrow morning and ready to make a quality start on packing up our apartment.

In the meantime, we would love any suggestions, comments or jealous stares you'd like to throw our way on our planned itinerary:

4/15: Depart Washington to Beijing
4/16-4/20: Beijing
4/20-4/27: Shanghai (Visit Trey)
4/28-5/03: Hong Kong/Yangshuo
5/04-5/20: Southern Thailand/Beaches (scuba certification)
5/21-5/25: Northern Thailand (cooking class, trekking, temple-going)
5/26-6/07: Laos (Gibbon experience, slow boat down the Mekong)
6/08-6/12: Cambodia (Angkor Wat)
6/13-6/19: Vietnam (Halong Bay, handmade suits)
6/20-7/09: Bali
7/10-7/12: Singapore
7/13-7/19: Johannesburg/ S. Africa
7/20-7/31: Tanzania/Zambia (Safari, Victoria Falls)
8/01-8/12: Egypt/Jordan (Pyramids, Petra)
8/13-9/02: Turkey (Cappadocia, Blue mosque)
9/03-9/08: Greece
9/09-9/13: Ljubljana, Slovenia
9/14-9/16: Munich (Visit Kunklers)
9/17: Return to Chicago
